Mom

My mom is the greatest. Simply the greatest mom of all times. She knows what to say She knows when to say it. She always knows what I need, And when I need it. I don't always tell her, But I always feel it. My mom is the greatest. Simply the best. -Just yesterday I was thinking about going to Goodwill for some workout clothes, and before I could get there, and without asking, she hands me a whole pile of workout clothes! It's not just the clothes, it's her intuition. It's her giving spirit.

Lattin's Apple Festival

I think this is a little closer to our annual pumpkin patch trip from Arkansas, except it was free. Although the apple fritters, cider, and sling shot cost a few dollars, it was worth every penny. We had a great time enjoying the sun, company, and relaxing together. Annual family picture Mark's amazing photo shot! Olympia's Brewery Park Charlie's first turkey sighting! Charlie's first horsie ride Super shot, watch out cows! Ethan and Jeffery Dragon sighting!

Ten days till Grandpa and Grandma Wegley get back from their long 8 week vacation in Hawaii. The kids can't wait...! In the meantime, Papa and G-ma sent them "messages in a bottle" from the mainland. Very thoughtful and extremely exciting. Hope you have a safe trip home!

My Philosophy

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."-- Agatha Christie

Someone Pinch Me, Please!

Today went very smoothly. We got the kids up at 0645, showered, ate breakfast and drove them to school on time! I wanted to drop them off since they had to take all their supplies in with them. Val's teacher seemed a little frazzled, and E's was relaxed, until I told her about his very small bladder. Mark and I both had to stop in at our respective jobs, we dropped off the jumper at mom's for Ryan, gave her Charlie's childcare schedule, picked up the kids' snackey goodness sent to them by auntie Shannon, and went to the library for 2 hours. We made it home in time for me to walkto their school and pick them up before they got on the bus! They loved walking home, so it might become something we do when I am off. It also gave us time to talk about their day. I made up a chore list the other day(with the kids' help and suggestions) and they actually were excited to check off all that they had done today (of course, money is involved). The kids are in bed now...and...
