Winter Concert

Image
Valerie had her first concert tonight! What a special way to spend my birthday. The music teacher even played "Happy Birthday" for one of her students, which made me feel special too! Verlerie did great. I really enjoyed watching her play her Cello!

An Ox's Outlook

Ox's Overview for 2009 The Ox can do well this year through steady progress. There may be a number of experiences that will provide great joy for the Ox. One area, in particular, is the Ox's personal life. You may see an addition to the family. You will be surrounded by those who care. Look for the early summer months to attend many social occasions, providing many new faces in your social circle. One area of focus is to be open to the advice of others, as you tend to keep your issues to yourself. Overall, your own year can be one that you will look back on with pride and a genuine sense of achievement. Mealtimes aren't always just for eating....(look at my hair mommy)! The right way isn't always best for everyone...(Ethan's version of strumming) Action and reaction are always best caught on tape...regardless of the price (brrr...where did my water go?)

Moving Out...Moving On!

Image
Moving Presidential Belongings(Yahoo Pic) I learned something new today! During the Inauguration today, a selected group of staffers moved all of Former President Bush's belongings out of the Whitehouse, exchanging it for President Barak Obama's belongings! What a sweet deal! At the end of the day the family will be able to relax in their new home, with all their own stuff. I was actually saddened to see the Former President Bush fly away in his helicopter. What he must have been thinking as he saw the Whitehouse fade in the distance. Maybe he was excited to know he didn't have to attend the Presidential luncheon this year! Did you see the menu ? I was going to do a mock dinner for the kids, but I couldn't force myself too.

Standing Still

Image
Moments like these are all too precious. My last baby, moving forth toward toddlerhood! Mom, did you forget to tell me she started standing on her own, or did I catch her first stand?

Oh and Yeah

more about positives on night shift... We rarely eat out during the week because I am always home till 10p (more money in OUR pockets). P.S. Sorry mom, I had to blog it (since I thought it)!

Working the Night Shift

Why I love it soo much... -I get to sink in bed between nice cool sheet (gets too hot at night) -I get my Buffy/Angel fix in if I accidentally slept through the previous night's episode -I have a great excuse to "stay in bed all day" -The thought that Mark might come home early and join me in a snuggle sleep -Quiet house without having to say "how come your up again?" -Get to make all my daytime phone calls on the way home from work -The light shines in making a comfy atmosphere to sleep in (I could never BE a vampire--too much sleeping through the night) and a TON of other reasons!

And We Welcome...

Carle, Comments, and Counting Points

Well it's the New Year. A time for new beginnings, a time to resurrect old ones, as well! Here are a few bits of "weight loss encouragement" (she says smugly ) I've received lately: Comments: "Your mom is doing so well on that Weight Watcher Program, she's lost a lot of weight." -basically meaning to say "why haven't you?" "I think she stole a buffalo and is hiding it under her coat." -comment made about a lady standing near a local bus stop (motivation enough). " Ang , every time I see you, you keep getting skinnier and skinnier"-comment coming from my sweet cousin. "Angela, this driver's license doesn't look a thing like you! All for the better I would say!"-comment made by a wonderful sales clerk at Pacific Fabrics "2.8 lbs! That's all you've gained over the holiday?"- comment made by my lovey, after my first post holiday hiatus weigh in. All comments I think were meant to be well...

Time Flies

I can't believe my baby is one, today! We celebrated her birthday with of course, a Hello Kitty Party. Anything super girlie for my last baby! She loved all the attention, and even managed showing interest in opening a few gifts. She loved all her gifts. Lots of toys, some clothes, shoes, and a nice warm froggie bath towel! Here is a FEW pictures to enjoy! If you look hard enough you will see her small knot, on her left temple. I, unlike Mark's refusal to tell in his blog post, will openly admit I forgot to move the gate across the stairs last night. Yes, she fell all the way down the stairs. I few horrible dreams, and the knot on her head is what she has to show for it. Bad, bad mommy!

Charlie with Mark's Vampyre Vodka Valerie and her bearded dragon setup kit Ethan gets HIS Wii and Guitar Hero Charlie enjoying her book from Uncle Charlie! Our big girl playing with her activity table! Our kids had such a great Christmas. Every year the kids are showered with gifts from Us, Grandma's and Grandpa's x2, Cousins, and Auntie's and Uncle's. We are NOT spoiled, just truly blessed to have families that love each other and are interested in taking part in our kids' lives. They have been playing non stop the last week with everything they've received...it's great to have them interested in something, rather than having them walk around saying, "I'm bored." Among my many gifts: Hello Kitty wireless mouse Laptop carrying case Rachel Ray's garbage bowl Estee Lauder makeup Vampyre Vodka (no we are not lushes) Cuisinart Coffee Pot (with timer) 2009 Date Planner P.J.'s Socks
