The Power

Image
Several times a day I can find Charlie in my cupboards pulling out all the fruit roll ups! Try as she may, she can never hold all of them at once. I totally feel like her some days . Loosing weight is hard, especially when I do what Charlie is doing here... hoarding the good stuff ! Weeks loss: 4.4 lbs. These last 20lbs are killing me!

Yesterday

Image
Wasn't it just yesterday that I packed your tiny green froggy gymboree outfit with those tiny green socks... Wasn't it just yesterday when Mark and I drove to Little Rock to stay in that hospital hotel Wasn't it just yesterday when we met your excited grandparents at the airport Wasn't it just yesterday when we ate at Applebee's the night before "your" big day Wasn't it just yesterday that I couldn't sleep because I was so big, and sooo excited to see you Wasn't it just yesterday that I wore those cute little overall with my green and blue shirt to the hospital to check in at 0500.... Wasn't it just yesterday that I saw you for the first time, bathed you for the first time, breastfed you for the first time, kissed you for the first time... Wasn't it just yesterday when the tornado winds were blowing our tiny grey car back and forth on the way home from Little Rock.... If it was just yesterday to me, then how come you are turning 8 today...

Mid Winter Break

Image
Val @ Bradley Lake Mark in Post Alley (Seattle WA) Our "hotel" room The kids got a few more days off school (again) for what they like to call mid-winter break. Thanks to their G-ma and G-pa Wegley they had a blast. They spent the weekend with them so Mommy and Daddy could have a quiet weekend alone. They ended up watching 4 movies (one two times), played b-ball, ate, giggled and stayed up very late. Monday we recouped, spent some time at the park and had hot potato soup at G-ma Nagel's house. Today, Mark went back to school for two hours, then we took E-man to the Dr.'s, went and had a KUB done on his abdomen, and back to the Dr.'s. Unfortunately we planned to get back to the park but didn't make it because of the involved office visit. Valerie was very disappointed! Mark and I had a blast this weekend. We used our time eating sushi, reading together (him reading to me), going to the Seattle Art Museum, seeing Underworld 3, and spending our time at home ...

Words

Words of wisdom from my mom...maybe this will make it easier for Ethan to get ready for school! Words of promise to MY Linus . I washed all (8) of Ethan's blankets, and had them back on his bed before he got home for school, as I promised.
