Fantasies

I love being organized. Clutter fills me with unneeded stress, as does being disorganized. My husband and I can maintain the house pretty well, but my schedule/calendar is a wreck. I currently use my iPod calendar, but it doesn't help me to remember events because the alert system is flawed (in my thinking). I need to see the calendar, and write in it to remember each event. I love writing stuff down. Right now I keep the kids organized with a dry erase chore board that sticks to the wall in the bathroom (made by Wall Pops), and works as a flat surface. I love it! My mom use to do this back when we were young. It was called the SHE program (Sidetracked Home Executive) and it used 3x5 cards for chores. We have so many tools at our fingertips that we all should be so well organized. In comes another, E...

Happy V Day

My day started out rough. After a debrief and mimosa after work, I felt better! I came home to a valentine gift on the bed...perfume and an adorable card from my honey! Chicken and Joes and a large chocolate cake ends this night perfectly.

One of my New Years resolutions was to complete my husband's manuscript of his first novel, by January 29th! Because of the train, I finished his novel and had time to daze off into space thinking of how awesome it will be too see it published! It is truly amazing, and increased my thirst for the next novel! I arrived in Portland, walked to my hotel, The Crystal Ballroom. My room was even upgraded to a suite free of charge. I had everything all planned out. I ate where I wanted, walked where I wanted, and stopped when I wanted. Time alone was just what I needed. I spent the evening at The Living Room Theater watching a romantic foreign film and drinking a wonderfully warm alcohol spiked c...

Days Gone By

Happy belated birthday, Charlie! I don't know why I don't post this stuff right away but time always gets away from me. We had an impromptu get together because our whole family was sick with the GI flu on Char's birthday. It was fun anyhow and special because Charlie got to have both sets of grandparents at the house at the same time!!!
