One Fun Saturday

Image
Dec 16th...A day in the life of our lives! One of our favorite traditions is going to the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle to see the Gingerbread houses. Seattle artists always put on the best displays of Gingerbread houses. Last year it was Harry Potter themed and this year it was all about Seattle (then and now). It wasn't as good this year because the event was held across the street from the hotel instead in the lobby. After we did a bit of shopping together and then separated in the evening to go to 2 different events. Val, Ethan, and Mark went to a concert in Seattle and Char and I headed to Lacey so see the Nutcracker with my sister. We had a wonderful time watching a live performance. The kids enjoyed it very much (at least I think because they were quiet during the whole thing).

Weekend Wrap Up

Image
Saturday started the weekend off pretty bleak. I took Ethan and the girls up to snohomish so that we could shop and Ethan could help Caitlin decorate the church. He needed to see her because he couldn't bear not breaking up with her over the phone. Even though he was sensitive and did it with grace and love (because he still loves her but knows it's for the best) it still was terribly sad. The distance is just too much for him. Afterwards we had lunch at Bell Square and then met Mark at Tacoma Mall to find our Marvel Pj's for a Marvel Christmas Meltdown in mid December. This year we decided to not rewatch H. Potter for the third year. As a family we chose the Marvel Universe. We will start cranking through the movies once the kids are out of school.

It's A Cabins Life For Me

Image
Our Cabin life is about the best time we have right now. Eventually it will be vacationing together without kids but right now things are so busy that we have no time for anything other than a few days stolen away from life to enjoy and rest up for the next six months. Boy that was a long sentence oops 🙊. I break all English/grammar rules ALL the time. We tried a new cabin this time and although the cabin was nice enough it wasn't our cabin in Packwood. The cabins in Packwood have more space, bigger hot tub, nicer facilities, and feel like an actual cabin. The town of Packwood, although small, is much better than Elbe/Ashford. I did enjoy watching the blue jays and deer  ðŸ¦Œ that visited us in the private back yard. The cabin was along a creek so the sound of a flowing creek while sitting in the hot tub was wonderful.  My favorite thing was the quote in the bathroom. I couldn't quite get it out of my mind. It is a something that Mark naturally brings out in me. He is my bigges...

No longer November

Image
November is rocking and rolling. The calendar grew every week by three to four items. I wish I would've taken it when it was at the end. Mark's Childhood piano came to live with us! Never too old for Disney-said by Charlie on the way to Disney on Ice Super surprise daughter Date night Disney on Ice #rightovote #cabinlife Quote by Chris Slaughter Best Friends Thanks Jeremy for getting rid of the tree 🌲  It looks 100% better Best Friends=Brother & Sister #17 in his warmups Sounders Defend our cup challenge. Ethan was honored to be one of the 50 RSA Elite Soccer boys that helped hold the flags out on the field prior to the start of the game! It was a great game to watch but unfortunately we weren't close enough to get a good picture.
