Fishing 🎣

Image
Fishing from a stocked pond is not really a adventure that takes time but it helps when the stocked pond has cute little animals that need to be fed. Basically these people are letting the public do chores for them and having the public pay them for it! Crazy and smart of the owners! The goats were most adorable. They had pigs, chickens, a camel, those creatures from Australia—kangaroos, birds, turtles, bunnies, and deer 🦌. We caught loads of fish, which they cleaned them all for $2.00! Grandpa was happy sitting out there with his grand kids. I remember going to stocked ponds when I was a kid. I thought I was really fishing...Fun day hanging out the the littles and my parents.

Hiking

Image
I went hiking with my sister. More like I went kicking and screaming up this mountain for 2 miles and down it 2 miles happier. I enjoyed spending time with my sister but my iFit hasn’t prepared me for outdoor hiking. For right now I prefer the treadmill. I like hikes for quiet reflection and to sit back and stop along the way to enjoy the beauty that is all around. I think since our hike took a lot longer than normal (my refusal to hike every step of the uphill climb caused some delays) we didn’t get much time to enjoy the scenery. The creek running through the hike gave me peace and solace when I thought I was going to die from the intensity of the hill. My sister said I would look back and be proud of my accomplishment-I am now. Besides all that I was far more glad to spend a whole day away with just me and my sister. She even offered to help me dig a hole to poop in out in the wilderness—now that’s love! Sorry for the bad attitude going up sissy ❤️ and thanks for the yummy affogato!...

Easter 2021 🐣

Image
We are so lucky to have my sister and the kids home this year. It made Easter extra special. Shannon stayed with us every night this week. It was nice to spend extra time with her last week. I took about 16 hours of vacation to hang out with her.  For Easter everyone came over and ate chicken and salad, and other yummies. Charlie was the only one who got a easter basket this year. I guess when the kids leave home the bunny has no idea where to deliver Easter baskets. It’s okay. Valerie has had Uber’s lately and a new book and Ethan just got a toaster from us. The kids still decorated eggs and had a Easter egg hunt! Charlie’s Easter Outfit Hunting Ethan and Sam hid all the eggs  Grandma GiGi’s flowers 🌸  Decorating  Sleepy time

Yes Day

Image
Yes Day! Yes please.  Charlie what do you want to do? Go to the MoPOP in Seattle! Let’s do it. Tickets purchased two weeks in advance with a “at the door upgrade to a yearly membership.” Overnight stay planned at the Sheraton downtown with a chance for some swim time but Charlie forgot her suit. After we bought a new suit “of course we will buy you a new suit it is YES day,” we were set to go swimming. Covid foiled plans once again. We needed a reservation for swimming and none were available. Charlie asked to go home to hot tub and watch Buffy. Of course we will do that...it is a YES day! Beyond that Charlie asked for nothing...not even to ride in the front seat.
