Just Me!!

Thursday- My day off was packed full of fun! 1st stop was Silver Platter in Sodo. We browsed the record portion and I got my record finally. It is one of the records we had when I was a kid. I use to play the record on my parents record player stereo cabinet. It was the perfect relaxation music. Little country, low tone, and epic beat! After that the next stop wa Uwajimaya. Always our favorite but really difficult to find anything since we are strict Keto. The kids loved shopping the anime store. I saw some cute stationary and it made me want to write a letter to whomever. Norie use to write me letters on the cutest paper and it always had matching stickers as well .  This or that? Our anniversary day began hot.  Two oscillating fans turned the bedroom into a wind tunnel, but it had still been a sticky final night in Windsor, California.  Although it was our actual anniversary day, today we were packing up to head toward home after our week-long stay.  We packed suitcases and our half-dozen bottles of estate wines from our adventures across Sonoma county.  I also buckled my book and record finds into the back seat: safe and sound.   Then we were off! While we were in no rush, the first leg of the trip would be a long one.  There is no easy way to get from the Santa Rosa area to Interstate 5.  You have to cross the mountains on the small, two-lane Highway 29.  Well into the mountains, we saw signs for the Petrified Forest and thought we’d take a quick gander.  Unfortunately, they wanted an ungodly admission price just to spend a few minutes looking at petrified trees.  While California was already officially op...

June 27th 2021 What a long legacy of love.  My grandparents eloped and got married in Missoula MT on June 27th 1944. 25 years later… My parents got married on June 27th 1969. They celebrate their 52nd Anniversary this year. They renewed their vows on their 50th at the exact same place my grandparents were married 75 years prior. We celebrated our 27th Anniversary this year-June 18th. We were married 25 years after my parents and 50 years after my grandparents.  Definitely a long legacy of love…something I want to remember so I’m writing it all out…my memory will fade one day. 

My pick…Pacific Bonsai Museum. We tried to go early but made it there around 1pm. It was only 97 out but the sun was high and hot! Luckily we took a bottle of water with us. My time in Japan is something I cherish and pretty close to one of my top ten favorite memories. I have always wanted to go and live there. Getting a peek of their culture, food, and art is something I try and do often. I miss Japan. I miss their sophistication. I miss their bath houses and the way they bathe. Mark took me to a beautiful Japanese house on a Bainbridge recently. Being back their made me crave the culture even more. When we arrived back home he purchased me a Japanese cookbook that is written by a American who married a Japanese man and went to live in Japan. I will have to look for a Keto friendly recipe from the book.  The Pacific Bonsai Museum was stunning. Each exhibit was a piece of art. The exhibit pieces always stated the date of origin; which is when the seed was born and began growing. ...
