Blogging Blobs
Excuse my absence from here. My world has been busy...maybe, or maybe I have just plain been ignoring this blog because of my FB or our new family website where the whole family is journaling. Either way, I will still keep this up as I see fit.
My new niece will be here very soon. Her shower was a blast and very well done, I might add. I had fun indulging in all the last minute details that I hope made it special for Shannon. I am so proud of her. She is almost to the end and looks fabulous. She is a wonderful mother, and I am excited to see her function with two little ones.
Charlie has had a learning lesson today. She had her first ever "time out Super Nanny Style session." After a few minutes she understood that I was serious and that she better just keep her little hiney sitting until I told her to get up. She did well, and I think that when I say "no" next time she will be a tad more attentive to obeying me. We will see....
Valerie is busy with school as usual. She posted interesting comments today on our family website regarding conversations with a boy....although I guess he wasn't able to keep the conversation going. Her book project went well. She said she presented today and did a good job. She really is amazing. I will have to upload a commercial she put together herself on a upcoming "movie." It was exciting to see how well she can navigate the internet, powerpoint, and paint programs.
Ethan is now 9 and doing great with his new responsibility of keeping his fish alive. He remembers to feed them twice a day. He only has two fish, and a tiny frog. The lady at Petco said that he should wait a month before adding more to his tank because the fish change the ph balance of the water and it JUST might shock the fish. Okay, whatever! They're fish, they cost anywhere from $1.00-5.00. Whoever took into consideration all that when we were younger? You just bought fish, threw them in a tank, and if they died well then, mom, would flush them down the bowl, and back to the store you'd go. Am I right? Anyways, we took heed of her words, and only purchased two fish, and the frog.
Not going to miss Jack on TV....so I have to go!
