Concert in the Park

Image
Smile Dancing...the African Way African musicians Family time Where's the blanket to sit on? Grandpa's Ride Helping Pappa with his tires! Is she trying to tell me where she would rather be? We had the pleasure of enjoying the "free" concert in the park this Tuesday! They featured a group of African musicians and dancers. The group included the audience with teaching African songs, dance, and some customs that still remain in place in Africa today. The only thing missing was a blanket to sit on and a yummy picnic (ALL the other moms were prepared)! After the show we spent the rest of the afternoon playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

New York Times

I miss my friend, Norie . I hope all is going well for her and that she is enjoying life in New York. My husband was going through boxes today and found some picture disks, and these were some of my favorite photo's from my trip to New York in January of 2004! I think it made me realize that I should schedule another trip soon. Although I have a "ME" day coming up on Wednesday, so that's at least a start! I miss you Norie ! Let's plan a trip to Japan, okay?

Amazing!!!

Okay, besides the fact that I love Trapper's Sushi, I think his new place rocks! The decoration is elegant, classic, Japanese inspired, and still appeals to a man's needs as well! Awesome job! The vinyl wall art WILL be on a wall in our new house! It may not be the same, maybe more cherry blossom inspired! Regardless of the price, it gives off peace and tranquility just sitting near it!

The Best Picks of Today's 100 Photo's

Image
Since we are hunting for a house, I thought it would be proper to document what I hate about this house and what I will miss when we leave. I took over 100 photo's today, and had a blast! It was incredible just to spend all day home. The kids played outside, and Charlie spent most of her time riding her bike. She has changed so much lately. She is riding a bike without problems, and is using the potty on her own (and throwing the wee-wee in the toilet after she uses her potty). I couldn't be prouder:) The calendar let the kids know that it was Wednesday, so we headed out to Sprinker for cheap skate night to top off our night! Hate this sign in my backyard that let's me know that this is NOT my house! Valerie searched for silver in rocks, with her friends metal detector. She plans to sell this on Ebay for 2500.00 so she can go to the Galapagos Islands with her aunt next year! Any takers? Love this tree in the corner of the yard...basically because it cuts out having to lo...

Enough Love to Go Around

Image
We have such a blast going to my brother's baseball games, plus they are free! We packed up everyone (the family that rides together, stays together {my made up phrase, mainly because we are ALWAYS together}), threw together some PB&J sandwiches and drinks, and headed off to the fields. My Parents showed up, which is always a treat for the kids because then they get to go to the snack bar (at least twice)! I got a couple of cute candid photo's that show how much love they have for all their grandchildren. I love the two photo's of my dad interacting with Kylee...absolutely precious! The only thing missing was my sister, Lanie, Ry-Ry, and uncle Mike! Using umbrella's as shade! Pappa talk! Pappa kisses! Grandma's love Moments shared between men! Later that night, we took the kids to the Valley Six Drive In, and saw Karate Kid and Grown Ups ! Unfortunately, and much to our suprise, the movies were not in that exact order! We gringed at the fact that our 9 a...

Hosting a Family Friendly BBQ

Image
Lanie Grace enjoyed the weather, and the occasional doggie licks from Katie! Slater, Ryan, and Charlie playing on the slide I recognize the short's from Val's old wardrobe. Daisy is wearing it well! She is growing up so fast, and she is so much like Valerie! Mark watching Mike down HIS only beer from the fridge! Family BBQ with Victor, Kirsten, Shannon, and Mike! Shannon coordinated this BBQ. Luckily for me, now my house is perfectly clean and I can relax when everyone goes home! Love it! As much as I think that I would love life as a hermit, I do enjoy company when forced to move out of my comfort zone!

Mom, What is this for?

Image
I finally broke down and bought Charlie a potty chair (Dora the Explorer potty insert just wasn't cutting it)!! The first thing she thought she would do with it is take out the insert, and used it as a "port hole." Luckily, with a bottle of water in hand and the potty positioned near the T.V. she impressed me with going wee-wee and poo-poo in her new potty! I guess it was money well spent. Mommy, is this what my potty is for?

Ohanapecosh

Image
At the crossroads of my life :0) Valerie and I washed each other's hair in the freezing cold water! Ohanapecosh's Visitor's Center Ethan practicing his Avatar moves Watching the roaring river below Stopping to take a picture of the beauty and strength of the river Ohanapecosh river where they have had several black bear sightings Our awesome campsite....H21! Wish we could have a house with a creek in our backyard! Back of our campsite! We took two nights and three days during my vacation, to relax and enjoy the scenery of Mt. Ranier . We camped at Ohanapecosh . The camp was beautiful and had some awesome sites to choose from. We were fortunate and found a camp with a creek. The kids had a blast following the creek up and down the water's edge. The water was so clear and enticing, that I asked Valerie if I could wash her hair in the water. She agreed, but with one condition. She wanted to do mine. I tried to get out of it after I saw that it gave her brain freez...
