Passing the Baton

So I mentioned to Mark today around 615p, that I was passing the baton off to him. In my mind that is what this whole thing is called. I am off for 7 days, then on for 6 days. When I work, I don't do much other than sleep while I am at the house.  I could get up at 330p and be with the kids but I am so tired during my days on, that I just crave sleep. So in passing the baton, in the mention of, Mark was slightly offended. He stated, "I am on every day." I agree, he is on 100 % of the time, but at least on my days off I am there to help out. Lately, I have been cranky. I don't know why. Maybe my weight, lack of funds, or maybe work. Multicare is laying off a bunch of people. Sad. Always thought medical workers would be in constant needs. Guess not. Anyways...I passed off the baton. In great respect to/for Mark! I love that my honey does such a better job of taking care of us, than I do. Thanks honey for always sprinting toward the finish line, even though I move as slow as a snail when I have the baton.

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
