Inspiration

Having my house clean on the first day of my last rotation off, gave me some creative energy to finish some decorating projects that I had been thinking about. I also appreciated a clean house and beautiful yard (the kids weeded and I gardened one day, plus my landscaper came;) for when mother in law came over on Saturday. We had a good time searching for our pumpkins, carving them, watching Gravity on the big screen and shopping! She also helped get those creative juices flowing. Mark took his dad to the UW game for his birthday. We had a great time off that rotation.

Snake Bytes

Last Saturday, when my family and I were driving by the fairgrounds, we saw a poster for a reptile expo on Sunday. My dad said we could go together. When we got there I was amazed by the sheer amount of snakes that were on sale. A couple booths let me hold their snakes! The biggest one I handled was a large albino Burmese Python named Thor. There were two other reptiles I had the privilege to hold. One was a female ball python, which I was totally in love with($100), and another was a cream colored boa constrictor. There were many other snakes I adored as well, such as Brazilian rainbow boas, carpet pythons, tree pythons, ball pythons, corn snakes, the cutest hognoses, and many more. There were so many colors of corn snakes there, but not one with the coloring of my dearest Napoleon, besides one Burmese Python. There was also a magazine I wanted to sign up for, HerpNation, that includes great photography and informational articles. We also learned of the new WildSide location, and I h...

Ballerina Baby To Dancing Little Lady

Charlie started Ballet/Jazz lessons last Monday! The last time we were at The Dance Academy was in the summer of 2011. I remember her first dance class, I thought she hated it because she refused to do anything that day, and made me sit in the classroom (or she would cry). She continued on and loved it. It was a commitment that was too large at the time so we held off until this year. Dancing, cheering, singing, performing are things she loves to do. She loves telling stories, singing to us, but dancing is her favorite. She doesn't get her coordination from her mom, since I have a hard time hoping on one foot (mom, now I know where I get it). I believe that dancing will teach her motivation, skill, endurance, discipline, and besides it makes her smile and when she does those beautiful eyes light up the room. When we arrived on Monday she was able to attend the dance class for free as a trial (scheduled ahead of time), and were told Monday's were closed due to the current class...

Paranormal activities

October! Oh how I've missed you! It goes without saying that this is our favorite time of year. My sister is even getting into decorating her front porch. I always pick out several Pinterest ideas and then get overwhelmed with putting it all together. Mark is my follow through guy and lately he has been working like a dog, so I'm left up a creek without a paddle hoping that I can find my way to shore. Strength. Endurance. Lists of things I would love to do/get done. Professional Conferences, parties, fall festivals, scary movies, pumpkin carving, Halloween invites to be done are all swooning in my head! I've pretty much spent all my free time in October;) Although I'm looking forward to 21+ days off in November early December! Happy Fall Y'All!!! Aunt Shannon bought Charlie a drawing book that uses the outline of her foot. It shows her how to create many different drawings. She uses it ALL the time, and we even have a template of her foot so she can use the copier ...
