Just Me!!

Happy Easter. First Easter without my babies. The family went to the Wegley's for Easter fun. I bet they are having a blast. I know that they will definitely miss Grandma Judy's egg hunt this year. She always makes it fun for the teens and the kids.

Quick getaway with the kids to Seattle for the night since everyone was on Spring Break. We went to see the Fremont Troll, UW and surrounding shops, ate at the Shwarma King, swam and stayed at the Sheraton, and finally dinner at PF Changs. It was such a relaxing night away. During dinner we spent a great deal of time waiting for our meal but we hardly noticed because we played "Draw Something" with all the kids. The manager felt so bad (even though we didn't notice) he took $25.00 off the bill and gave us $50 in gift cards free. Awesome. We went back to the room, played charades, until Ethan had HAD it with his partner (ME). So much fun!!!! The next day we ended the trip with a tour of Bellevue Botanical Gardens and then Uwajimaya. Yum

My first day off was busy. Theresa cleaned the house while Mark and I ran errands. We met up with Valerie at 1115 and drove back to school for her first Parent Teacher Conference. She is now being graded on her conference so she was nervous. She did a great job outlining what her plans were for the next three years, her career goals, college plans, and her life's ambitions. Her presentation also included her aspirations of becoming a snake breeder (complete with pictures). Great job Valerie!!! Afterwards she had tennis and I and Charlie used that time to visit and play at Bounce E House! We jumped together and raced down the slide together. We can't wait to go back for Lanie's party!

Friday means a great many things to my kids: Endless hours of Xbox, Wii, Computer, Free times Movie Night Pay Day No bedtime (except for the wee one) Play time They love it.

The kids were both chosen after auditioning through the school district for the District Honors Choir! They had one whole day of rehearsals and then last Monday they performed their concert at PLU's Lagerquist Hall. The concert was so different than we are use too! The seats didn't have old pieces of gum on them, the kids weren't practicing beforehand, and Mrs Sutter didn't talk about herding cats or any inappropriate pearls that usually comes flying out her mouth during a concert! She loves the kids and is a great choir teacher, but sometimes we cringe when she talks to them! It was a beautiful night. I was a proud mamma listening to her two kids belt out some beautiful old and new tunes! The kids were on stage together, standing side by side in the front row. No one would've guessed they are brother and sister. They are so different from each other, but the love they have for each other is incredible! PROUD MAMMA!
