It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Fishmen

Everywhere I go! I was so worried about going to WOF because I had not shopped for Christmas nor had we decorated, or purchased a tree. I knew it would put me behind by two weeks. Thankfully my smart husband decided we were using our old Christmas tree to save money this year. He even brought all the decorations in, put up the tree, strung the lights, and decorated the living room. I LOVE him for that. He took all my worry away! I even had a chance at WOF to buy presents for the kids. I found the perfect gift for Mark the other day so Christmas is no longer stressing me out. Heck, we've even wrapped all our gifts that we've purchased. Val has purchased all her own gifts and Ethan is working on earning money for his. We've devised a new plan by having him show us his assignments every night and if he does he earns $2.00/night. We hope this will motivate him. He starts back on his meds Tuesday and is currently taking mini meds to help his focus. I see a huge difference when he takes them. He has a concert this week in Seattle and I am chaperoning but only if he can catch himself up by then! His Eighth grade concert was last week, and Val's is this week.

God is blessing the heck out of you! I like your decorations. Kids have been bugging me/us to decorate and I keep putting it off. Thanks for the encouragement.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
