Parallel Universes

We are all dazed and confused. How could our beloved Wilson not hand the football to Lynch on the 1 yard line. Beast mode could've taken us to a back to back SB 49 win! Instead Im left creating, in my head, an alternative or parallel universe on which we did win SB 49. Isn't that what you are doing too? Mark has been a Seahawk fan since he was younger (he said this outcome is normal and happens throughout a teams life) but I have been a fan (or one who knows enough to get excited now) for the past two years. I love watching games with my family, and have enjoyed getting to know our players. The highs are addicting but the lows (first I've experienced since I came to care about the Hawks) are downright depressing. Another reason I've been replaying the last 30 seconds of the SB game. I'm glad that someone actually recreated the last 30 seconds showing us how we indeed won (on FB, can't figure out how to transfer it over). I believe in our Hawks, and trust their judgements but I needed to see it spun a different way too. Although It was a great season, I learned more about the game, am totally excited for next season, stoked for the draft, eager to watch our team head back to our next bowl, I am sad as well. Sad for our team that put their hearts and souls into winning! I know that Pete will help them through it, and that I will get to enjoy my favorite players for years to come!

I have to say one of my favorite parts of the Hawks is partying and watching the games at my brother's house. Thanks Jer for having us two weeks in a row!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
