February Flew By

We are at the end of the month (with the same voice as Grover in The Monster at the End of this Book)! What a whirlwind. I'm getting older and days fly by faster (or maybe I'm just loosing time in my OLD age). I turned 43, Ethan turned 15, and Val is soon to darken the ripe old age of 17! For my birthday, I spent the day at the Spa with my sister (I returned today to repeat that well loved and craved activity), was taken out to birthday dinner by the kids, given new pots and pans from Mark and #thepioneerwoman, given a coupon for my Nail Salon by my parents, and received a gift card to my favorite restaurant Trappers, from my family. The kids have been extremely busy with school (yuck), sports, and mid winter breaks. Mark has been too. He has been commissioned to write a couple essays for a literature collection, and is gathering data to start a new novel! I CANT wait. Although I miss Kavi (his last character).

I am in limbo. Working, but possibly wanting to start something new. Some other outlet, another way to make a difference.

Yesterday we:
Went to Uwajimaya in Bellevue. Charlie was extremely happy in this picture because I said yes to taking home a little fishy of her choice. It didn't last long when I told her what they do to the fish so we can take them home (gut and cut)! Valerie and Brandi loaded the cart up with interesting food, ate some yummy deli finds, and squealed when the saw the pig's head in the meat case.

On Friday we:
Went to Jimmy Macs for a dual birthday celebration for Val and Ethan! Mark's parents and my mom and dad came. My parents even took Ethan on their meal ticket. Thank you mom and dad!!! I showed Charlie where I wrote Mark and Ang on the bathroom door stall two years ago, and she wanted to write her own! My mom told her no but I don't think she realized that everyone writes on those stall doors...its part of the roadhouse decor. She wrote Charlie + Owen. Can you see it? It's in red crayon and will come right off mom;)
We had a great time. The kids received awesome gifts from their grandparents and both received Copa D'America tickets to see Lionel Messi play at Century Link in June! They were beyond excited!

Other days in February we:
-Celebrated Valentine's Day by making heart shaped pancakes for the kids, and fortune cookies for Mark. I took him out and recreated the date he took me on where he proposed. I got the sweetest card from him and lots of chocolate!
-took the kids skating at Tiffany's skate day
-played basket ball with Ethan
-made some new yummy dinners:Mark and I have finally decided to grocery shop, plan, and cook on our weeks off. So he takes the week I'm on and then I take the week I'm off. It's working out great!
-made birthday pancakes for Ethan
