I keep adding. Photos. The family reunion is such a treat every year and we have such a blast driving to the destination, planning our one meal, exploring new homes and places, and seeing all these wonderful people that we are related too but only get a chance to see once a year! Several were missing this year and the chances of us all getting back together seems like a thing of the past. The older generation are getting older, the youngest generation arr going off to college and working, and our generation are extremely busy with making sure the youngest generations are doing alright. Life is flying by. Years ago we made a commitment to go and we have honored that every year. The commitment shows when it takes no time at all to get very comfortable with each other at the reunion. We returned this year to Mt Hood. The Lewis’ put this one on and found a house that fits all of us, plus a few more. We each had a floor and privacy! Our meal this year was on Sunday. We got the job of the big Sunday Dinner. We were nervous we wouldn’t live up to the BBQers but we took a different route. We had Bbq beef sandwiches, Mac and cheese, homemade cilantro lime coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, homemade cornbread, and chips and dip. It was a feast and apparently loved by all!!!!! Best thing it was super easy! I prepared everything that morning and was ready by 5p. The shopping went well, and the stealing of gifts was a blast. Victoria won the shopping trophy. Mark and I were in the May I final round with Grady, Ernie, Melanie, and Brent! Mark won the May I! He also won the “All Around” plaque that is hanging out in our bedroom now. Those Abstons are a hoot and a holler. Arlene has already found the next retreat place so we are super excited š!
