National Sons Day

Image
Oof. We just finished the 1st Presidential debate. That said I am switching gears to talk about my wonderful son. I am so proud of this guy. He has a phenomenal mindset of savings, responsibility, being a team player, and now he is kicking it as Lead at Chick Fil A. He amazes me every day by his dedication. He won’t call in sick and has been working 40+ hours a pay period. He is going to accomplish great things in his life with that work ethic. I miss his sweet face but due to my 6 days of isolation I was able to see him quite a bit. I love the company he is working for..Chick Fil A! They are one awesome company who Instils values into their workers. They uplift the employees monthly and are always making sure they are safe at work. In the past two weeks they actually closed the drive up because of the air quality and still haven’t opened up the dining room to the public. Despite all that, they remain busy and always are looking for ways to treat their customers and employees with love...

The Make Up Artists-National Daughter’s Day

Image
My girls are both very talented artistically speaking. Charlie dreams of being a Ghost hunter so being a makeup artist goes right along with that right? She thanked me the other day for helping her get the tools she needed to do one of the things she has loved doing for the last two years. She loves creating horror on our faces as we watch her transform herself or others with scars, scratches, cuts and burns. She does have a talent for this line of work. She used to use glue and red dye but has recently upgraded.  Valerie’s direction is more pen to paper, or shall I say blood to paper sometimes. Her drawings leave me speechless. The beauty of her animals is truly remarkable. She loves drawing ✍🏻. I just found out that a couple of weeks ago she had a bloody nose and she used that as her medium. Pretty sure I don’t want that original but a reprint might be nice 👍🏻. By the way this drawing wasn’t my favorite out of that medium but maybe one day I will show you the one that was! An...

7th Grade

True perks of being schooled from home: -No one can see what your wearing -You can reach down and love on your dog at any moment. -Hot meals without all the cafeteria noise -3 hours of schooling a day -Asynchronous time in the morning with music playing -snacks -Access to older brothers wisdom and knowledge and dads English skills And, and, and!  7th grade. 12 years old. She is wearing Old Navy tank in burnt orange/red and her new army sweat pants. She showered and braided her hair so it can be wavy today. First Day of Covid-19 learning. She is in Cohert B. She is in the afternoon synchronous time. Meaning she works by herself in the morning on homework and gets instruction by the teachers in the afternoon. 1st day photos taken by herself. She has attitude in each picture, she can’t maintain it very long though. She is the sweetest person I know.  I want her home. Her teachers want her back. I’m afraid it’s a loosing fight. There is this tug-o-war I feel every time she goes to...

Quarentine

I’m in quarantine again for 5 days. TBH it has been nice. My asthma has been better without having to wear a mask for 5 days straight. I can breath now without a tight chest! I have been using my CPAP the end of last week because my asthma was worsening and I felt very claustrophobic. It helped having air pushed into my lungs. I do have a sore throat today but it might be what my daughters surprise trip brought home with her. She has been on Amoxicillin for three days. It’s nice to have her home while I quarantine.  Last week was a busy week. We are still operating on 1 car thanks to a hit and run so Mark has been driving me to and from work. Monday we had the electric guy out to create our box for the hot tub. Tuesday the hot tub was delivered. Our first dip in the hot tub was Wednesday at 0500 before work. It was dark outside but the LED lights, darkness, and warmth of the hot tub was a perfectly perfect way to start the day. Mark and I have been waiting for forever it seems. ...

Happy Birthday Baby

Image
Look who’s turned 1 year old today!  Happy Birthday Baby!  We made it through her puppy phase and are headed for smoother waters. Her daycare ladies and gents rave about how her recall and leave it commands are getting so good. She loves her mama #1 Charlie, big dogs, treadmills, Sprinklers, playing and tearing every toy apart as fast as she can, french fries, and the cats! Here’s a poem she wrote about herself.... I AM By Sasha W. I am silly, mischievous, and sassy! I wonder what mom#2 (she won’t let me call her grandma) will sneak me off her dinner plate tonight. I want so badly for Geralt to chase me and be my best friend. I worry and whimper when I can’t find a place to hide these bones that mama #1 gives me.  I am the only one who keeps these cats in line!!! I understand that they should NOT be on the table, counter, or chairs for any reason. I say what I want, when I want. I dream of whip cream and Scooby snacks.😋 I am loved by many, hated by few (just the cats).😢...

Almost Paradise

Almost Paradise @Ranier Cabin 9/5-7 Blog entry number 9,245(I made that up). We are up here at the base of Mt. Rainier relaxing together. The cabin is surrounded by acres of peaceful homestead living. The owner has several cabins on site and lives here as well. Her house literally looks like a ark! She was warm and inviting and would’ve told us all about herself, her family, and the property if given the chance. All we allowed her to story us with was a imaginative tale of swamp children who, against the wishes of the Health Department, that find their way into the cabin’s hot tub at night. Please lock up was her warning ⚠️!  2 days together. We found ourselves alone, hot tubbing, and asking questions from some personal questions card game we found in our garage. Clearly not OUR game since half of the questions didn’t pertain to us. Fun, inviting, and sometimes revealing nonetheless. My favorite thing at the cabin, minus the hot tub and the Sasquatch that roamed the woods, was the...
