The Weekend

It is The weekend and as I sit here I look back at what I have accomplished and what I still need to accomplish seems massive. The animals all need their nails clipped, need to buy the clippers, I need to repair a tear in our old leather vintage couch, work diligently on my SANE nursing 40 hour online education and complete paperwork, make dinner, and parent Charlie as well (i.e. check grades, talk about assignments, and catch up). I got up at 530 just to get the ball rolling. 3 hours of education is a start! I am excited for this new opportunity and to use my nursing in completely different way.

Yesterday we went to see the Husky’s play Arkansas State. What a great first home game. The stadium is beautiful and the campus makes me wish I was a alumni! The buildings are each so unique and full of history. It would be fun to take a tour with someone who knows the history. Mark did a great job in the meantime.

We ate at Shawarma King in the UW district.
Sometimes I worry that we aren’t going to find things to eat but Mark had done his research before hand and knew exactly what we could order. It was even better than what we normally order. I’ve lost about 32-34 lbs and Mark is about the same. After lunch we headed over to the UW Bookstore across the street to purchase a new W ball cap 🧢 and a coffee mug! Two things we both can use (started to just enjoy wearing a ball cap)!

We had a great time together all day…
