Snackie, Snackie!

I thought I would share a recipe with you! All you from Arkansas, try this! It is something you have probably never tasted. Granted this is not as good as cheese dip, but it is a close second! This is something you have to try! Please notice I said try, not buy! Mark and I discovered "Hummus" last year when we were practicing vegetarians! It is our favorite late night snack! We are having some tonight, as we watch "Gray's Anatomy".
Hummus: 7oz can of chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)/2 garlic cloves crushed/6 tablespoons lemon juice/4 tablespoons of olive oil/1 teaspoon of ground cumin/salt and pepper to taste/Kalamatta Olives (optional). Drain chickpeas, put everything in a food processor! Enjoy with tortilla that are warm or pan fried! Yummy!

i finally found your recipe... naturally it was the last one i read (of course it was... who keeps looking after they've found what they were looking for?)
my first experiece with hummus was on a recent mission trip to new orleans. a friend of mine treated our group to lunch at a restaurant called "zea" and his wife recommended the hummus for an appetizer. all this time the name sounded like some kind of moss or something... but it was great! they had sun-dried tomatoes in theirs too. the recipe i finally tried was from a palestinian guy that runs the arab shop at the river market in L.R. it was pretty basic, but tasted great (basically your recipe without the cumin and olives). ever tried it with with grilled pita wedges brushed with olive oil? that seems to be the traditional middle eastern fare. thanks for the recipe, and the warm welcome to the blogosphere! btw, I’m the guy that stood you up on the paint job that time. my wife and I are working out those communication issues :-)
