The Line up!

We recently received a phone call from Nielson T.V. ratings requesting us to be included in a T.V. survery. I eagerly said yes (before I knew about the 15.00 for participation) and couldn't wait to begin. I thought our T.V. was hardly ever on, boy was I wrong! For the most part, Mark and I enjoy watching movies together! We are avid fans of Netflix and love going to the movies as well! I thought I would share with you my weekly line up...So grab a seat on the couch, get some popcorn and be prepared to laugh!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Monday-Friday 6am

I know that is a little early for y'all, but it well worth the early morning wake. I suggest starting this one at the beginning as well! Joss Whedon is the director and creator of this exciting drama. He created the Buffyverse which the show is known for! If you haven't experienced this language, turn it on and be prepared to laugh. Yes, I know it has vampires on it but the show is so much more than that. If you google the title you will find a ton of philosophical papers on each and every episode (even from a pastors perspective). I'll leave the philosophical part to Mark though! He is famous for explaining all the goodies you will find in this show. The show starts out, "As long as there have been demons, there has been the Slayer. One girl in all the world, a Chosen One, born with the strength and skill to hunt vampires and other deadly creatures...yada yada yada!" Joss, this is a true masterpiece!

Gray's Anatomy Sunday 9pm

Sunday nights at 9pm! It is a medical drama on tons of estrogen! Our professor's said that this is the first medical drama "that talks and acts like the real thing." My classmates love watching this show waiting to see how individual cases will be discussed in class the next week. Unfortunately for those of you who have not tuned in, the series finale just aired last night! What a night it was...I know all of you are saying "what's a LVAD machine right?" I had to look too! Did you know that all the cases that they present on the show is broken down for you on the Gray's Anatomy website? Anyways, watch it! Sandra Oh is the best actress, although the main character is Ellen Pompeo! I got hooked when I saw how "Bailey" treated her interns! I made Mark watch the show just so he could see a little of what I went through every week during clinicals. The medical profession is all the same, they eat their young!

24 Monday 8pm

Kiefer Sutherland blows the screen away every Monday at 8pm! I applaud this director for coming up with a unique series that address' a whole 24 hours in one season! The plot has tons of twists and turns and crazy nail bitting moments! I usually don't go for these kinds of shows but this drama has real character! I think this is his fifth season casting as Jack Bower, a Counter Terrorist Agent! With a cast like Chloe O'Brien, Audrey Raines, and Bill Buchannan no Terrorist is safe! The president (hint hint) on this show reminds me of someone...! Catch reruns of previous seasons before you attempt to start this season! The history is important, I think!

American Idol Tuesday 7pm/Wednesday 8pm

American Idol! I always told myself I would never become addicted to reality T.V. but here I am. I started watching "AI" when Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken went head to head in the season finale three years ago! I think every year the new "idols" bring it on, and bring it better than the year before! If you are addicted like I am, then maybe I will see you at Dad's Place (yes, we finally have a coffee shop!) on May 24th to see who's the next American Idol! Mark is voting for Taylor because he has gray hair! He said that "young guys who go gray early have to stick together!" Ain't that the truth...

House, M.D. Tuesdays at 8pm

I am currently waiting for this to finish taping tonight! I have to have complete silence to understand all the medical diagnosis and lingo he throws around! I sit on the couch with my Tabers medical dictionary sprawled out on my lap, flipping to every word I don't know! He is a great actor with a sarcastic sense of humor. What he lacks in ethics he makes up for in intuition and brains! I think his interns are lucky to have him as a teacher! This is a wonderful medical drama, fueled with testosterone.

Alias Wednesday 8pm

We started watching this series through Netflicks as well! The very first episode will captivate you! Mark and I sped through four seasons hoping we would be done in time for the new and last season! Unfortunately we discovered that Season five has not been released on DVD yet! We are taping the show every Wednesday so that we can catch up eventually. Sidney Bristow is one hot CIA agent! She is very good at what she does, and I love watching her "girl power" on the screen. Who said that, all we were good for was just to have babies? I would like to think if I were an undercover agent for the CIA this is what I would look like! Hee hee. The show becomes somewhat monotonous but I hope eventually the uncover all the Rambaldi artifacts!

and last but not least...who can forget Food Network.

I love watching the Food Network Challenge, Rachel Ray, Sandra Lee, Paula Dean etc. Anytime I can't find anything of interest on, then I go to 76! Rachel is my favorite...I wish I was a kitchen diva, like she!

So what's on your ?
