The Artiste Gallery Presents...

Wegley, V.

An American living in the deep south of Arkansas creates art with a modern flare. She is a student of the canvas. With a deft and steady hand she creates each line. Wegley has faithfully and delicately reproduced images of Jurassic times, flowering petals, and intricately detailed Papilionoideas. The minutely observed details such as the outlined petals and the underneath of the dragon’s belly have been captured with remarkable accuracy. Wegley has earned an unrivaled reputation as an artist with her stunning pieces of untold dinosaurs and exotic creatures. To assist her in future work, she combs the local libraries for books (How To Draw) that will allow her pencil, markers, and imagination to take flight. Her works continue to amaze and touch those that have had a chance to view the private collections.

What rich colors! I love the way she does her butterflies, which look just like stained glass, and the wicked red fangs on that dragon are WAY cool.

I must admit (and brag about) being involved in the inspiration behind the flowers. I had the opportunity to meet the artist prior to one of her art sessions, and I suggested a celebration of God's wonderful creation. The wonderful flower cut-outs resulted.

This one is a real up-and-comer! Maybe we should host a gallery reception one of these days.
