Ethan: Dad, bamember (remember) the day you married mommy?
Dad: Yes. Do you?
Ethan: Uh huh! You ate cake and mommy gave you a gift.
Dad: Were you there?
Ethan: Yes. You both talked, bamember?
Dad: What gift did mommy give me?
Ethan: (grinning) A cookie.

I guess Ethan has the events from 12 years ago committed to memory (although he was non- existent). Pretty accurate account of that day, though. Mark, hope you enjoyed both the conversations, and that cookie!

Ethan: Mommy, I think you are so beautiful.
Mommy: Thank you Ethan. That was so sweet to say.
Ethan: Uh-huh. I promise to never break up with you.

Oh that is sooooooo sweet,my younger children get upset because they werent in our wedding pix..LOL,I try to tell them that they were not born yet and that upsets them even more...oh the things children will say.......

oh that's so sweet! Kids come up with the sweetest and craziest things! Madison gets upset that she isn't in our weddings pics too.. even though she was there... just not 'showing' yet ;) lol

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
