Honesty At It's Best!

--I found this note while going through a stack of Val's drawings recently. It is now displayed proudly on our fridge. It shows Val's innocence and her honest heart! Val, don't be embarrassed, I think Dad's a turkey too! Reading this also made me think of my college logic course some years ago:


Val thinks turkey's are cute.
Val thinks dad is a turkey.
Therefore Val believes Dad is cute!

Val is so hilarious! Today I found (lying around the house) a drawing of a giant grasshopper, a house with lightning over it, and a heart that said "I love ants!" Truly, her drawings and writings are precious.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! Pay it forward...the second time!

A bumper sticker. My bumper sticker (well, not actually adhered to the car yet!). What this means for you? My sister from Washington was kind enough to scrape up 4 of these lovely bumper stickers. Two have been spoken for, and two I want to give away. In the south this is a prized possession, since Wal-Mart (Hell-Mart) has a monopoly on what we can buy. I hate Wal-Mart...and would never shop there again if we had another good grocery store (The Pig doesn't count). Although I may never place this on my bumper, for fear of having my tires slashed, I still love looking at it on the fridge (Mark is putting one on his office bulletin board). So this is the offer.
