Update

Well I had my first gaining week at Weight Watchers. I gained .8lbs this week. Charlie hasn't been breastfeeding as well, so I need to start taking that into consideration when trying to adjust my caloric intake. Being said, I am still pleased with losing 70lbs since January 4th.

We recently joined the YMCA and are having a ball working out, letting the kids run a muck, checking baby into the nursery, and signing up for swimming, gymnastics (ethan) and karate (val). I also noticed that they have Zumba classes too. I watched a class yesterday and was impressed with one lady who really knew what she was doing. I really want to join in, but need to [practice on my own DVD Zumba, before I let everyone else see that I don't have a coordinated bone in my body. I have worked out the past two days, and am planning to make that crazy scale work for me next Monday.

Charlie is changing everyday. She has her quirks....she likes her Binky only when she sleeps, she likes to sleep with a blanket over her face, she loves to suck on all or some of her fingers, she loves her bottle brimming full with at least 6 oz. in it, she loves going swimming and wearing her sister's swimsuit (yes, I saved it for 9 years), she loves searching the room for daddy, and she loves being held by mommy. Riding on a train to Portland, and eating rice cereal are among her firsts for this month. What a cutie...a picture perfect duplicate of Valerie at this age.

Ethan is bursting with energy all the time. He is enjoying his studies, especially math. I am not the only one to label this kid as smart, smart, smart. He absolutely adores his teacher this year, I hope next year will follow suit. He loves reading, hates writing, loves game boy, hates chores, loves swimming, hates walking at the pool, loves socializing, and hates sleeping.

Valerie has become quite the artist. I will try and take some pictures of her latest, and post them. She has been taking art classes, and doing quite well. They say she has potential. I say she is already an artist. Valerie is very free spirited and her drawings almost always show that. Her studies are going well, too. She is reading 149 wpm, and the others in her class are at about 62 wpm. Her comprehension is awesome. She still goes to bed at 2000, but usually reads for about 1-1/2 hours.

Well Idol is on so I must be going. I hope the little update helps those of you that are so far away from us, feel a little closer. Night, Night!
