Play Time
I am now officially behind in writing in Charlie's journal (and it sits right on my bedside table). She is 5 1/2 months old. Where does the time go? Truly, every always talks about enjoying each day because it flies by but you don't think it does till you stop and look back at how little they were just 5 months ago. She is blooming and changing daily. She loves playing now...no more naps and sleeping all day! She loves playing peek a boo, eating her calico kitty book, sitting up with all her toys surrounding her, listening to music, playing with her daytime mobile, being entertained by sister and brother, and eating! She is chugging down 8 oz ba ba's nearly every four hours, and still managing to eat breakfast rice and dinner squash. She is our Buddha baby. We love every inch of her and her personality. My sister gave me a pack of pictures of Valerie at this age and I couldn't tell Charlie and Valerie apart. Twins, just 9 years apart!
Valerie is so excited to be done with third grade. Right now she said she is in NO grade! With summer staring at her, she is filled with energy and excitement. I think her art classes are over for the summer, so I am hoping that maybe Mark can help her with some art projects this summer, She just brought in a picture of a Rhody bush that she drew while sitting outside and it was awesome. I love her pictures. I am a very proud mama. Valerie spent the weekend at grandma's and auntie Shannon's. I am very grateful to have to enthusiastic, energetic, exploring type people in her life. She loves being with family!
Ethan is my ball of energy. He is very intelligent (says his teacher) and easily bored by those around him that don't know the answers to all his questions. His report card is being held hostage for a small fine of 5.00 that he owes because one of his textbook bar codes went missing. Oh please!! Even his teacher said they never used the book, but we still owe the fine. I guess sometime this week I will bail his report card out of jail. He is still obsessed with EVERYTHING Pokemon and I wonder if we will ever live past this stage of our kids lives. Charlie will never get to play with a DS since I know how it makes the kids crazy! The kids ruined it for her.
The summer has started out on a sweet note. It is sunny, Mark is mowing the lawn, the kids are playing outside in shorts, Charlie is in her bed sleeping, I am listening to her new Rockabye baby CD, that Shannon let me borrow, and blogging. It's perfect. I love moments like these. Slow moments. I am off now to take a nap before WW weigh in. Charlie has slowed down to breastfeeding once a day, so I have to be careful what I eat now. It's a total of 74lbs since January. My husband lost 20lbs in the past two months. He is looking good!!!! Off to burn calories sleeping....
