Excitement at the Great Wolf Lodge
Thanks to my sister watching the "cheap savings blogs," we were able to join in on a fantastic rate at the Great Wolf Lodge! We arrived Friday, after the kids were dismissed from school at 11am, and arrived at the water park for "our adventure" around 130pm. We had a blast. The kids kept us water logged nearly the whole time. Red eyes, and a few scratches are the only things we have to show for this 24 hour blast o fun weekend. Charlie loved the wave pool, and spent most of her time battle the waves with me. We did get to enjoy a brief nap in the lobby, while Mark got in a few moments of reading. The GWL did such a wonderful job treating the kids to a great time, they even had a kids dancing night complete with a D. J. Charlie and Ryan enjoyed showing each other their moves. The kids, Valerie and Ethan, purchased the famous GWL wands so they could go on a quest to defeat the dragon (Ethan slayed the dragon, Valerie will try again next time). I thought the wands were a complete waste of time and money until I realized that we can go back anytime, regardless of a reservation at the lodge, and have them continue on with the 9 quests they can go on. We even found out that they can use the wands in various locations, even in Japan! After they complete all the quests we will purchase them a topper for their wands! Pretty exciting, and well worth what THEY paid for them. Hope you enjoy a few snap shots of the kids at the GWL. I didn't get too many of the older two since they pretty much disappeared on us!
