Groupies

Mark asked me out. I said yes, and that proceeded one of the best nights I've had in a long time. I needed time away from the hospital (everyone had too much fun celebrating Memorial Day last year), time away from kids, and time away from the house in order to completely relax. Plus, I love spending time with my man. I can't believe we managed to relax enough in such a short period, but we did, and ended up thoroughly enjoying each others company. We stayed at The Westin Portland. The beds there are so soft that it makes it nearly impossible to wake up in the morning. The shower (pictured here) was exactly what I want for our bathroom, so I took pictures;) Saturday Mark took me to see BenUnion at The Star theater. It was a Black and White party with people walking on stilts, hoola hooping, and face painting! The crowd was crazy. Very New Orleans style....! I decided to stop acting like the prudish woman across from us, and got my face painted! The artist kept telling me that I had "beautiful skin" to which I wanted to shout, it's because of Paleo, but she wouldn't have heard me over all the club noise anyway. What a silly girlish thing to do, but sooooo much fun! When BenUnion took the stage, we went up front and danced through the whole concert! The Mira men are some very talented people...! We ended thee night around 3am with yummy world famous VooDoo donuts;) Come to think of it we started the next morning the same way...
