It's a Foursquare Friday
Glorious Friday. Took my beautiful teen to Starbucks for breakfast. She and i had pleasant convo while sipping on coffee and enjoying pumpkin scones/bread. It was a great start to my morning. I dropped her off and went and picked my dad up at Tiny's and took him home. The sun was already shining. Preschool field trip day. Charlie and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Thursday we completed her third Rid treatments. We refused to miss this trip due to a few pesky lice, so I made sure to put her hair up, and put her in new clothes. Off we went. Mrs. Snowden had quite an itinerary for us:
9:40-9:55 - Meet to the South Hill Mall Pierce Transit station across from Macy’s and the Wells Fargo Bank (112th side).
10:00 – board the 402 to the Puyallup Sounder Station, preschoolers need to have a quarter ready to deposit for fare if you would like them to take part in this, every one’s fare is already paid, although
................putting the fare into the bus fare box is a wonderful part for the children.
10:20 – debark at the Puyallup Sounder station
10:35 – Pioneer Bakery, preschoolers need $.75 to purchase a cookie for their lunch.
11:00 –11:30 - Post office, preschoolers need $.45 to purchase their stamp and mail their letter.
11:30-12:00 – Puyallup City Hall tour
12:00-1:00 – lunch and playground at park
1:00-1:30 – Library tour and story time.
2:00-2:30 – Puyallup Police Station tour
2:30-3:00 - Puyallup Fire Station tour
3:15 – Meet bus on Meridian near Pioneer Park to go back to the South Hill Mall Transit Center
Pretty tight schedule for a four year old. Lots of tours, and tons of adults talking at adult levels. The police officer was probably the best with the kids. Quick tour with only a few facts! The kids and adults barely made it through and we were almost grateful the fire engine tour was cancelled, because they got a fire call as he was introducing us to the equipment. Twenty minutes downtime waiting for the bus turned out to be the best thing for them. Charlie loved being a consumer, a mayor, a postal worker, police car driver, and a librarian. On the ride back home it took her two minutes to fall asleep. I would've taken a nap too, if I hadn't been driving. Thanks Ms. Snowden for an awesome day with my niece, nephew x2, sister in law, sister, and my beautiful grown up four year old.
PS. All those check in's got me to the top of the FS leader board.
