October 1st starts off right with a morning run to Starbucks and some warm pumpkin bread to share!

Our famous "Happy_____Day" whiteboard that gets changed nearly every day. This picture remained for nearly a week because Val rocked this drawing a week before Halloween!

End of golf for the year! She is ready for the family reunion golf tournament next May! Yeah for the next generation bringing this tradition forward.

Kitty loves to snuggle up on Mark but lately he has been planting his nose in between Mark's legs to keep warm! Poor kitty! We promise to turn the heat on at the end of November;(

Daddy took the kids to the Conditions concert in Seattle. He first met the band member two years ago and hasn't spoken to them since that concert but the singer came up to Mark, called him by name and chatted with the kids! Love it when the artists are that connected to their fans. Ethan survived with a purchased pair of Ear plugs from the bar!

Scary girl!!! Preparing for Halloween or too many scary movies...you decide.

Great month for Charlie. A play date with Owen and then a surprise Red Robin 2nd date. The whole family enjoyed some good conversations and sweet laughs at Owen and Charlie's expense!!

Quote from Owen: "I know we are young but we already know we want to get married. I could look at those cheeks all day!"

Charlie perfects her egg breaking abilities! It only took two eggs before she had mastered the skill! I used her final eight eggs to make scrambled eggs for the kids the next morning. Yummy!! Oh and after her breaking the eggs she challenges her dad to some karate. Yes, she loves to hang out SANS pants!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
