7th and Counting

Little Lady turned 7! Where did the years go? It was just yesterday that I was on the Post Partum unit holding her, and being invited by the nursing staff to come join the Labor and Delivery unit. We loved spending two nights together with just her! I remember Mark even made sure the car was clean when we took her home. From day one she ruled the roost. We took turns sleeping on the couch watching her and making sure she wasn't going to choke and turn blue again like she did in the hospital. She made us nervous for about a week. After that we spent our days in bed, from the moment the kids went to school till they got home, holding her, bonding, and enjoying the time we had together. One of the most relaxed I have ever been. Money was tight, but we were okay with that. It was a sacrifice moving home, having a baby, and trying to adjust in our new jobs. Since then we continue to be amazed by her. She truly is a perfect combination of us both, plus she has an incredible personality to boot.

On January 4th we had a pizza party
with cake and ice cream and then to the movies to see Night at the Museum 3. What a blast to see these little one sit in the huge AMC seats.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
