I don't have a lot happening this week since it is filled with 12 hours working at the hospital. I have managed to enjoy some free moments in between to think, relax, and even a quick dinner date with my man at a local taco bus (seriously was a bus). The food was yumm and I believe Mark said he was going to go there everyday for the street tacos. My backyard is a growing disaster. Tomatoes are coming out my ears and falling in the ground before I have a chance to save them. The rest of my garden needs tended too...maybe Friday I will find some time. Mark is wrapping up school at the end of this weekend and then will only have UMA for a month. I am so happy for him! I will try to abstain from making a honey do list so he can get reorganized, relax, and get ready for fall. Today I'm taking Charlie for some school supplies, running errands, changing the oven element, taking Val to drop off a application, and finding time to relax. 

Things that have worked with Mark this past week: Only texting in emoji's. That way we don't, or I don't, misinterpret what he is trying to say! I get to guess what he is saying.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
