Homecoming

Our first homecoming. For all of us. Ethan's friend from junior high, McKenzie asked him to the dance. He was excited to be able to go with all his friends. I had never gone to a dance before so getting a tux, planning the night, and the things that I should and shouldn't do were foreign to me. After all said and done, Ethan and McKenzie had a great time, looked fabulous, and got to party with their friends. Mark and I on the other hand, were able to have a fun date while  we drove them all around. It was fun to see Ethan in action. He was very nervous, but a true gentleman! He opened her car door every chance he got, which made her giggle!

We waited in the car, and got gas

They went to the dance 8-11p
We went to a movie

Now leave us alone mom, and NO you can't come in and take pictures at the dance! Sad mom!

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
