Things that make you go, Hmm?

Some changes lately in our lives occurred right at the end of September, early October. My papa Nagel was hospitalized for cardiac arrhythmia and nutrition. I loved having him at GSH because I was able to see him three days in a row! I helped my mom connect with the social worker and they were able to get him some much needed services. He is weak, been hospitalized a second time, and been transferred to a nursing home. I hope he gets stronger and ends up back home with grandma GiGi. She hates not having someone around to mess with-ha ha! 

We purchased another Honda! Mark now drives around a Honda Civic. Super cute, small, and very fancy. I like having two cars but I miss him driving to work with me in the mornings. The first week I was late three days. Oops. I figured it out this week! Now I sneak out of work early (15 min) or on time and get home at 745;) The Civic is fun to drive, and apparently preferred use of transportation when our kids are going out on a date.

My daughter dyed her hair blue. She HATES to be called smurfette.

My son, and us, experienced homecoming (and everything it entails) and the start of my sons dating life. He asked a different girl out tomorrow too!

Ethan got rid of his bunk bed! He is so much happier now. 

Charlie is growing by leaps and bounds (almost caught up to gma).
 
Conferences on all three kids went so well! Everyone is doing what they need to do!

Snapchat is my new friend because I can take silly selfies.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
