Sounder Seattle Bound

Valerie asked to go to Seattle with her friends today and even though I agreed and planned to drive her and her girlfriends, she insisted on traveling alone via Sounder. Yikes!! I first said "no" and she said, "mom in a year I will be on my own doing this stuff!" Double Yikes!!!! So off they went to Seattle this morning. My momisms following her are:
  1. Don't talk to strangers
  2. Send a selfie with location q30minutes
  3. Watch out where you are walking
  4. Don't talk to homeless people
  5. Don't talk to each other while crossing street
  6. Be aware of your surroundings
  7. Cross body your purse
  8. Get a map when you get there
  9. Stay in a group always
  10. Run to the nicest looking person if someone is following you
  11. Get off on the right stop tonight
  12. Have some fun
There were a couple more but they were more mom worst case scenario dramatic! Why do kids have to grow up?

I will update this post as I get pictures! I won't put locations since this blog is public and someone could use it to track her (sorry worst case mom scenario)!

Crimmy I never had the desire to go to Seattle. Even when I was older. Kids are fearless.

The only instruction mom gave me when she let me take the bus to Minot with Caroline was make sure you get on the train to get back tonight. Dad will not want to drive to Minot to pick you up... And she wanted to know if Woolworth had their fall material in so she could start making our clothes for school... We did great both ways it was one of the fun things I did growing up... However when we moved to Washington she would not let us go any where with out her for several months...
