Week at a Glance

Image
The week flew by and on Wednesdays I either feel like I accomplished what I needed too or I feel frustrated with myself for not doing more. Today I feel like I accomplished stuff. On this roatation off I: Thursday-shopped for college course books and clothes to get Val ready for Monday. Placed our table on Offer Up and sold it pretty much the same day! Saving those $$'s for the piano movers next rotation. Took Charlie to Piano and Ethan had soccer practice. Friday-made super yummy beef enchiladas and had a movie night with the kids! Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was just as good as the first. Saturday- helped my In-laws set up Mark's old table that his parents gave us! I love everything about this table and have been sitting here on this end spot for quite a few hours each day helping Ethan and Charlie with their homework and waiting for the dinner to be done cooking, oh and for coffee and cross stitching in the mornings! I feel very blessed to have been given this treasure and wil...

College Bound

Valerie is all ready for college. I think we've given her every advice morsel that we could think to tell her. As she was headed out, post pictures, I yelled "Be Amazing (my theme this year) and make friends." About 40 minutes later she sent us a selfie of her first friend she made at college...an alligator! Ha ha ha. She is going to do great. I on the other hand am trying to make sense of everyone's schedules. Shannon is gifting me a calendar that just might help keep everything in perspective. Life is crazy busy fun though. I love fall. It is my favorite time of year! Val is still uncertain what she wants to do. Everything interests her but medicine and paleontology remains up at the top. For now it is Calculus, Chemistry, and College Prep Courses!

Ethan's games have been really making every weekend super fun and extremely busy. I don't care though because I love Sunday drives in the car with my kids. We typically blast music and end up talking about all sorts of things. We went to Mattawa, Wa to watch Ethan play today. We had to be there by 10 so we left at 0530 to ensure we would be on time. We were, plus he got extra time to kick some goals around with just us. His team played hard and in the first half he'll the team to just 2 points. The boys we communicating, pressuring, and encouraging one another. After halftime we lost it a bit and allowed them 9 more goals. Ethan didn't give up and was determined to shoot it in. He did a huge massive power kick from mid field and successfully scored!!! The coach did have to tell the boys to stop celebrating and play the last 40 seconds of the game. I'm so proud of him! It's been a hard two weeks for this guy but he is really starting to pull through and show his ...

Street Beat Gang and their new drummer Ideas for an art project Getting her shoes shined Multicare Day at the WSF Bee Keeping Riding the Old Merry Go Round Grow that Cabbage Ethan swinging with his girl #yOunglOve We went to the WSF twice this year. Mark, Charlie, and Ethan went together so Ethan could see his girlfriend and I met them after work for a couple hours. The next time was when the kids were at school and Mark, I, and Val spent the school day looking through all the showplexes, the art building, and caught a show at the Fountain Stage. It was a great show since Val decided to volunteer to be part of the show. This girl is ALL IN when she does something!!! Val had to compete in a drum battle and repeat the same sequence of beats the drummer did. She did an awesome job and even agreed to volunteer for the dance off in the next round. I have video to prove it;) She even said I could post it since I didn't have a blogging audience anyways but couldn't post it on Facebook...
