Ethan's games have been really making every weekend super fun and extremely busy. I don't care though because I love Sunday drives in the car with my kids. We typically blast music and end up talking about all sorts of things. We went to Mattawa, Wa to watch Ethan play today. We had to be there by 10 so we left at 0530 to ensure we would be on time. We were, plus he got extra time to kick some goals around with just us. His team played hard and in the first half he'll the team to just 2 points. The boys we communicating, pressuring, and encouraging one another. After halftime we lost it a bit and allowed them 9 more goals. Ethan didn't give up and was determined to shoot it in. He did a huge massive power kick from mid field and successfully scored!!! The coach did have to tell the boys to stop celebrating and play the last 40 seconds of the game. I'm so proud of him! It's been a hard two weeks for this guy but he is really starting to pull through and show his colors. Keep strong man...YOU got this!!!!

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
