Rewind to September

It's barely November and it's snowing! It's going to be a bad winter. My bones feel it. My hibernation is kicking into full geer. I want to sit next to the fireplace, watch days and days of new TV/Netflix drama's, all while being locked in a haze of chili and soup. I know, I said it was bad. We've been doing anything but hibernating...pictures forthcoming. It's #cabinlife soon and my spirit is like that of a child on Christmas morning. Wine, talking, TV, hot tubbing, every waking moment with my lover is just what I need! To be able to blog that I have to get these late posts in so the documenting history is accurate! Mark's birthday, my Virgo, late by two months of posts, was one of the best for him. The gifts were beyond perfect, they were all very personal and very him! Valerie made him all book marks of the characters of a computer game he and she play together. She even made 2 polymer dragons by hand. Ethan got him a Dream Theater record (his favorite band), Charlie got him 2 shirts and some candy, and I got him a Himalayan salt crystal lamp and a new desk mat (the kitties ate the other one). It was fun to give him such exciting gifts. 

We've also been rock painting. It might have to end though because we never want to give our creations away and we are starting to have way to many keepers!

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
