New Years Day
Inspiration
Clover and Char
The New Year started off amazing. We were able to spend a few hours with our best friends Kourtney and Chris and got to see how big the kids are getting. Naomi looks so grown up and Clover is as pretty and sweet as she has always been. Beautiful children! We miss all of them and are hopeful that one day soon they will be back to share and reside in our tiny piece of the PNW with us.
Ethan had his winter soccer tournament at Stars Soccer ⚽️ and although they didn’t win it is always fun to watch the boys compete and get rowdy together. The coach has two Ethans on the team so when I walked in the building I could hear him say “crazy Ethan you turn out there.” I caught the coaches eye and just smiled. When he is out there he puts his heart and soul into his movements, which sometimes makes him more energetic than most. We all came and cheered him on!
New Years Daynwe opted to stay in and make it just family. We played games, bought our first Jackbox TV (game on the Xbox) and played so muny hilarious games. Sam came over and hung out till 1230a. We all toasted, 😘, and had a wonderful time.
As far as New Years resolutions I think it will take me a minute to 🤔 of them. I did happen to glance at my end of the year paycheck and noticed a few things
1. I need to bring my own food to work ($2166 wastes)
2. I need to save more, increase my retirement contribution (started my contribution at 2% and cancelled portfolio expresss and will manage my stocks and bonds myself..don’t worry I do already have a good chunk in there)
3. I need to complete the Healthy at work and get 360.00 off my insurance
4. I need to be healthier release my WW subscription and get it through work for half off.
5. I need to decrease my spending, no buying miscellaneous stuff for kids all the time!
Love this quote from Ben or whoever came up with it!
“Consistency is the mother of destiny!”
