First Days
First Day went off without a hitch. Charlie’s teacher is going to be amazing this year. He is young, has no expectations for math homework other than facts and reading 20 pages a night. Reading is the most important thing a child can do to increase comprehension, spelling, word structure, and fluency. It was also build her imagination and help her dream of other worlds and things that will stretch her understanding of life. We also no longer have to sign the worksheet so it causes her to be more responsible for her actions. I like him already!
Ethan woke us up ready to go to school at 645am. He didn’t have to be at the bus till 1115 but wanted to go to Sams before school. He’s a good, trustworthy kid so we let him go. Senior year for him!!! Yikes! He had an okay schedule but would love to change culinary arts with beginning guitar. We will find out tomorrow if that is possible. He hopefully will make better decisions on homework this year. I hope he has a blast his senior year! Soccer starts up hard and heavy in September. He has practice every Tuesday/Thursday and games on every Sunday from September to December except for Thanksgiving weekend. My new schedule will allow me to see all his games.
This was Charlie’s last year for the traditional Schultute so I wanted to remember them all by putting a picture collage together.
