Days of Summer

Image
Camp Cascades with the cousins Friends at work make my days sweeter Back from camp, now for some snuggles! Tenino Quarry He is so long! Wave pool time in Tacoma Mark’s 1st Geocache! Progress at BPG Geocaching Fear This...avenged our DNF Avenged my husbands DNF! Art and Geocaching go hand in hand Found a awesome new park, walking trail, and community garden closer to home when we geocached this Clue cache We decided that every three times we will eat ice cream and the rest is earning your salad! BPG garden goodies make yummy dinners We’ve been having a fun packed summer with the kids and each child requests different activities so we try to break from our usuals sometimes. Geocaching is my favorite. Mark’s cache went live and is doing well. It should get lots of favorite points for all the work he put into it. This last and most exciting picture is of Ethan on the TCC campus preparing himself for the start of his freshman year of college. He found out today that he was awarded a $2000 ...

July 3, 2019 Turned over bed for the next harvest...cucumbers and lemon cucumber planted. Here’s what they will look like full grown: The rest of the pictures are from today when I went for a visit to the garden. I have been discouraged by the garden since my maggot infested turnips reared it’s ugliness. I hated it. All the work for nothing. It was my fault, I chose not too wash and dry when I got them home. I’m back though. In the meantime someone watered my plants/veggies so that I could have a rebirth of feelings toward the garden. It worked. I am back!!!

Friendly Match

What a fun opportunity hanging out with just Ethan tonight. He doesn’t get too much one on one with us but when we do we love taking time to enjoy his passion of soccer. Sunday when we were in Seattle was saw the BvB bus and thought that the Sounders were playing them on Sunday night. We lucked out, or the stars alightened because Ethan had the day off, Mark and I were free, and Dortmund was playing the friendly game with the Sounders on Wednesday. I purchased super cheap tickets through Stub Hub, and ended up getting better seats because the owner sold us the wrong seats so Stub Hub switched us to better seats. So our cheap seats turned into being seven rows from the field. The view was perfect. The night was perfect minus the fact that Dortmund beat us 3-1.

Weekend Roundup

https://youtu.be/4aPWD4qDM4o Four years of camp photos! Our weekend was full. It’s the weekend Valerie has been waiting for since December. She received 2 Queen 👑 tickets for Christmas and had been secretly dying inside for this weekend to come (that’s teen talk=waiting with excitement). Included in her weekend she tacked on a reptile convention with snake purchase, purchasing a Salmon from Seattle’s most famous Fish Flyers, and going to a Avi Kaplan (post original Pentatonix member) concert.  “Queen was amazing, and I got this cool hoodie!” Valerie was on cloud nine when she got home Friday night. It was definitely a bucket lister for sure. Something she will tell her kids and grandkids about her experience.  She got permission to have a snake in her new place that she is leasing (the landlord has one too)! Thanks to a generous contribution from her new babysitting job and a few other resources she was able to swing the cost. She has been working so hard to make money for h...

Family Time with a Mission

I love geocaching. Pretty sure I said it before and will say it again. Mark thinks I dream about geocaching but he definitely wrong about that. It has never seeped into my dreams yet! I do love a good find though. We are currently work on a clue series (with pictures of who did it, with what, and where hidden in specific caches) and I would bust it all out in a day if I could. 22 caches to the series. Unfortunately my 2nd favorite geocacher, who now has her own premium account, is at camp so I will have to wait. I did recently take Charlie to a Fear Nothing Geocache and we left without a smiley (meaning we found and signed the log, and logged it in the app) because she refused to walk in a dark drainage ditch. She said she heard sounds and saw a clown 🤡 in there. I was making her go it alone because I didn’t have the correct shoes on for the job. We will go back with some TOTT (tools of the trade) and boots for that one. It’s rare that we walk away without a smiley 😃. When we do cach...
