Four years of camp photos!











Our weekend was full. It’s the weekend Valerie has been waiting for since December. She received 2 Queen 👑 tickets for Christmas and had been secretly dying inside for this weekend to come (that’s teen talk=waiting with excitement). Included in her weekend she tacked on a reptile convention with snake purchase, purchasing a Salmon from Seattle’s most famous Fish Flyers, and going to a Avi Kaplan (post original Pentatonix member) concert. 

“Queen was amazing, and I got this cool hoodie!” Valerie was on cloud nine when she got home Friday night. It was definitely a bucket lister for sure. Something she will tell her kids and grandkids about her experience. 

She got permission to have a snake in her new place that she is leasing (the landlord has one too)! Thanks to a generous contribution from her new babysitting job and a few other resources she was able to swing the cost. She has been working so hard to make money for her trip so this worked out perfectly. By my calculations she should have enough money for about two months if she can’t find a job. She filled out about 8 applications the other day though. She is motivated and will do whatever it takes. I can’t wait to help her decorate her new place and she where she is going to live. I’ve only broke out in tears once so far. It’s getting too real now...! I told Ethan he will have to take over cooking for us every now and then. I can’t wait to see what he will make;) 

Charlie headed off to Camp on Sunday. I worry about her and miss her too. So far this is day 3 without ice cream and I might be having alittle bit of withdrawals. Also NO Geocaching is happening. 

Ethan is quite the dude. He has adjusted to his work schedule like a boss and is my money saver, hard worker, and early to work type of dude. He signed up for new student orientation for Fall and is saving up enough for fall tuition. He rocks.

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
