It's a Foursquare Friday

Glorious Friday. Took my beautiful teen to Starbucks for breakfast. She and i had pleasant convo while sipping on coffee and enjoying pumpkin scones/bread. It was a great start to my morning. I dropped her off and went and picked my dad up at Tiny's and took him home. The sun was already shining. Preschool field trip day. Charlie and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Thursday we completed her third Rid treatments. We refused to miss this trip due to a few pesky lice, so I made sure to put her hair up, and put her in new clothes. Off we went. Mrs. Snowden had quite an itinerary for us: 9:40-9:55 - Meet to the South Hill Mall Pierce Transit station across from Macy’s and the Wells Fargo Bank (112th side). 10:00 – board the 402 to the Puyallup Sounder Station, preschoolers need to have a quarter ready to deposit for fare if you would like them to take part in this, every one’s fare is already paid, although ................putting the fare into the bus fare box is ...

Worst Day Ever

I know, how can that be after taking such cute pics of my kids. Well, after we took the kids to their eye appointments where they both got their eyes dilated, we decided to take Ethan for a hair cut. That's when all the fun began. They started shaving Ethan's hair when I noticed a bug in his hair. The lady immediately put the clippers down, started freaking out and telling us we needed to leave the store! I told her we didn't have lice and that she just can't leave my sons hair like that! She didn't care so we left right away. I googled lice when we got in the car and sure enough it was lice! I went right over to Walgreens and bought Rid. We went home, clipped his hair and washed it with RID! Yuckie! Since then we have all RiD ourselves, bathed several times a day, washed every piece of laundry, threw out his mattress, and cleaned the whole house up and down and still manage to feel dirty. Maybe it's because of how much we've researched lice and viewed imag...

Lanie Turns Two

Last Sunday was Lanies party and boy did she show her stuff! The Birthday girl was sick, and definitely wasn't feeling herself. She went to great strides to let us know how horrible she felt. My poor sweetheart!

She's Coming Along

The family room is near completion. I have enjoyed working with my husband through this process. Our vision with this room has been very synchronized! We love the couch, and our wall unit! The room is prettying much everyone's favorite place to relax. Here's a few new pieces.

Planting for the Future

Image
This weekend was so warm and sunny that it caused me to visit several stores to find the right hedges or barriers to plant. Mark and I are big on privacy so we thought it would be wonderful to have a couple Mock Orange Trees out back so that when our fire pit oasis is completed we will have some. I planted three Boxwoods, and a Lilac tree in the front, and the Mock Oranges in the back. The kids helped me plant and water. Now the rest is up to the plant....grow fast babies.

Progressing

Working on dewinterizing the yard. We hired an excellent landscaper for the front, my brother! He changed out that horrible beauty bark and put in some nice stuff for us! Looks great! Today we started the back yard. I weeded everything, and Mark mowed. Now for planting plans. I got a new app that will hopefully help this novice planter...! We have plans to tear out the grass in the backyard on one side, to create a rock fire pit area. We are going to put in more planter boxes onto the side of the house for our squash. True green has come and gone so now we need to take up the dead moss and aerate in our front yard.
