R.I.P Challenge

I love fall, and all that it brings. Halloween, mainly. I saw this exciting challenge over at the blog jar and searched for the source! The challenge is to read any book, or books, that are gothic in nature. Anything scary, spooky, or any that makes you pee your pants at the turn of each page! I think these books are alittle out of my comfort zone, but they were suggested by Mr. Gothic himself! Mark! By the way, in the future, look for him to change the face of gothic literature forever (sorry no hints--boo's the word). Count me in for this challenge! Anyone want to join me....what a freaky way to begin this holiday season!

My suggested list:
1. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
2. The Monk by Matthew Lewis
3. Northanger Abby by Jane Austen
4. Julian's House by Judith Hawkes
5. The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl

I own Frankenstein and it is a great read on the other hand I have not heard of the others -will have to check them out.We really get into Halloween too.I just got my fog machine for the front yard...tee hee hee,and we are all planning our costumes-I think I am going to be the bearded lady.LOL but we absolutely love this time of year, although there are still places I wont go in way of the macabre.:-)

fun idea. giving credit where credit is due, I said this on Mark's blog, cause I read it there 1st. Knowing that you were the source, I had to come here and comment too. I'll have to look around for what I want to read, "The Poe Shadow" is 1.
I'm glad that K.T. is a Halloween fan too. As a side note, I never liked fall growing up in Michigan, but QUICKLY learned to love it during my time in SEARK. I'm with y'all on this one!
