How Much Are You Willing To Pay?

My fridge is not only a place to hold food, but it also is used to display pictures of the kids, their school drawings, our family calendar, coupons, and various magnets. One thing that has remained over the last three years (I love throwing things away...so this is really amazing that something would stay for so long) is a quote. I have no idea where I got the quote, but it continues to remind me of why it is that I continue on from day to day. I thought maybe you would enjoy it as well!

Every truly worthwhile achievement of excellence has a price tag. The question you must answer for yourself is, How much am I willing to pay in hardwork, patience, sacrifice and endurance to be a person of excellence?
This month has tried my emotions for various reasons, yet I see changes in myself that have been along time in coming. I think God maybe trying to change me. I resist consistenly. Luckily He is a faithful God, and continues to press and mold me. I am tired though. I am in need of true rest...I hope God can comfort me this week!

Hey boo! I think that, while there is some truth in what you say about resisting God's will, you are probably seriously lacking in regular, good and quantifiable sleep. I know that when I'm devprived of this it makes a world of hurt on me emotionally, spiritually, and especially physically. Therefore, I, as your unsolicited doctor and spiritual advisor, recommend, admonish, and REQUIRE that YOU, young lady, REST vigorously . . . and SOON!!!

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
