Love Shack, Baby

We love having our little L.O.V.E getaways and this time we planned a three night, four day stay in a cabin in Packwood, Washington. We left Thursday night via HWY 7 (with me driving) and almost got to Elbe before Mark forced me to the side of the road, in the dark. He was demanding to drive but I was scared to get out because I was sure Mr. Hook man was waiting for us. I quickly surrendered my driver's seat, and he drove the rest of the way. On the way, we talked about the Hook man, Chainsaw man, and possibly getting kidnapped and taken to the House of Wax, where Brain Van Holt would turn us into wax statues. So after all the scary talk, I had to make a stop in Randal for a bathroom break The bathroom at this gas station was located out back, in the dark. As I walked past the payphone (you see this coming right, in a movie anyways), it rang. In the midst of the moment, like one of those dumb blondes in a horror movie, I picked it up. F-R-E-A-K-Y. Mark yelled at me, and I hung up quickly after saying "helllllooo." I quickly rushed to the bathroom, expecting to see blood over all the walls, but instead I found something scarier....these poor rolls of toilet paper chained to the walls. I didn't try to rescue them, I just pee'd and fled. He. He. Weird experience. What I thought was scary Mark just said, "kinky." So the weekend began...!

Sorry, I didn't rescue you...and that I took this picture! I JUST had too!

Enjoying local flare...Jalapeno Burger, and the Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger. Thanks Cliff Droppers
 they were super yummy.

Match made in heaven. The colors were so vibrant. Thought about stealing them for Charlie, but didn't!

Oh no, we didn't? Yes-we-did! Our first attempt at BINGO together. The stakes were high, 8880.00 jackpot! We ended up only winning one hot dog from the snack bar :(

Our cabin from the view of the bedroom loft. It is very quiet here. The silence has been golden. Our spirits are refreshed and our love renewed.

So lucky to be able to read a full magazine, while Mark catches up on a few minutes of work. Martha Stewart gave me some good inspiration for the holiday season. We plan on decorating the outside of our house this year. Can't wait. All grown up, we are!

We visited the local antique shop. I found three of the cutest owl boxes, from Thailand, but they were priced at 100.00 and I just couldn't pay that! They were unique though. She even said I could make her an offer, but I don't think they would have agreed to 50.00! He hee. It was a lot of fun talking to her!

We still have the rest of today and half tomorrow....we are blessed. What's on the agenda? Hot tub, Hot tub, Hot tub!

Bye now!!!
