March Madness

March 2nd-March started off right. Two concerts in kid friendly venues allowed us to take Val and Ethan along to enjoy some great new artists. Ben Union and The Fame Riot. We love their music and as someone down in the south would say, "they are just good people." We had only planned on making one concert but thankfully the schedule of line up for The Fame Riot changed so we were able to make both. We had a great time supervising our kids while they rocked out. Ethan sported a Fedora with style, and Val bought some cool new "skinny" pants and a flashy peacock shirt to rock out in!

March 15th- Our baby turned 14! We celebrated Valerie's birthday with Harry and Arlene at Valerie's choice of restaurant, The Rainforest Cafe. We had a wonderful meal with all those gorillas, elephants, and fish staring at us. Valerie's presents included tickets to Sakuracon, skinny red jeans from Hot Topic, British earrings, British socks, Russian iPhone case, sketch book, Viva Pinada, and Hetalia belt. She is very into Hetalia and all thing anime. After dinner we had double scoop ice cream cones and headed home. We did end up ditching them shortly after to sneak in one last Ben Union Concert for the month. It was the final night to hear Roman Holiday in concert. They have chosen to go separate ways. Great concert. Fun hanging out with Slaughter and the Mira's.

March 16th-Shopping trip to chaperone Bailey and Valerie. She is growing up so much and has found that she loves to shop. Bailey keeps her grounded, and directs her to good clothing choices. The girls only ended up buying a bracelet for $8. Love this friend, she is VERY good for my daughter. Charlie absolutely loves hanging out with them.

March 17th- Ryan's and Valerie's birthday party. Just a quick get together With the family to celebrate another year. Pizza, salad, and cake. Yums. It was nice to see Jaxs and Kylee this year. The weather wasn't too exciting, but that didn't stop the kids from playing and riding bikes indoors. HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY Ryan. Ryan got a baseball and tee set. Valerie got an awesome REI bag from Aunt Shannon, Starbucks gift card from Jeremy, and an Aeropostale card from Grandma and Grandpa.

March 23- Owens Birthday Party at Super Jump in Sumner. Charlie had so much fun playing with Owen. I think it is so cute how after almost two years they still believe they are getting married one day. I believe her grandparents use to play together at that same age so you never know what could happen. We love the Vail's so that would be fine, although Mark won't ever let her date;) We had a few minutes to talk to Karyn's mom and she told us a lot about the historic old haunted castle in Lakewood. Exciting! Someday, I hope to be rich enough to buy Mark a haunted castle!

March 26th- I got low census so I could go to watch Val's final performance in choir for this year. She even signed up to sing a single part with a group of other girls. She did great, and the music was awesome. They have come along way since 6th grade. She loves singing. Last month she chose to sing a duet with another girl in choir at a local high school with judges present. Thankfully the judge was nothing like Simon Cowell! He gave some awesome tips to the girls and praised them for their choice in music. Way to go Valerie!
