8th Grade Rave
We had so much fun getting Valerie ready for her first dance. After our first experience of trying to find a dress for her 8th grade graduation, we got in the car, prayed asking God to send us the perfect dress right away. The 2nd dress she tried on was perfect. Poor girl had to listen to the sales clerk go on and on about she how she had a large chest and a small back and how she would need a corset dress because of it! Well we found the perfect dress right off and didn't even pick one with a corset back. Bailey, Val's friend came over and did her hair and makeup.
I was instructed not to be a "creeper" when I dropped her off at the dance.
Creeper=A mom who stands at the doorway and takes pictures of her and her friends and talks with them. Apparently Bailey was suppose to distract me when Val went in so that I wouldn't CREEP. No such luck, Val! One day she will thank me for all the photos I took, or that's what I am telling myself.
(Val's thoughts on her first dance)It was awesome. My friends and I walked around the dance floor and talked about random things. There were delicious snacks, like taquitos. Taquitos are one of my favorite snack foods. In the middle of the dance they played Scary monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex, my absolute favorite music artist in the world. It was an amazing experience overall.
