Halloween Party 2013

Okay, going to try something different. I write posts all the time. I write for memories, both mine and the kids, for fun and for pleasure. Since I know that everyone of you that reads this was present that night (if not you should be reading it that is), I want you to write this post! Well another outstanding party. So glad to see Grandma Wegley and her new man Pete Carrol enjoy the event with us. Food was yummy and the chocolate fondue was the best....Everyone dressed up and was in competition mode for the win... Great pumpkin carving.I could not of picked a winner, they were so different. The little ones were so happy and excited for the evening to begin.... Every year Mark and Angie find new ways to challenge us in costumes and games. So I'm working on my outfit for next year. Of course I will wear it in Feb and then keep it out of sight for 2014 party. Thanks again for another wonderful of safe and sane fun......Love you

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
