Futball

I love this time of year! Soccer has finally found a place in my heart, since my kids are obsessed with the sport, the players, and the culture.

Ethan tried out for FP this year (Ford didn't have a team) and made it. He and we were elated! The schedule is busy now but on Tuesday's and Friday's in most weeks we are on the sidelines watching this new team grow. So far we have tied once, and won three! Ethan even scored a goal in the last game. I wish I could've been there. Mr Henry apparently was bragging about his goal to Ethan's Avid teacher, because she was talking about it at his conference today. He was amazing at his school conference. He led the whole thing, spoke with confidence, and had all his stuff together in the notebook. He even dressed up for the conference! Completely different kid then when we whined at him for his missing assignments last night. I think the only problem with this year is Mr Henry, his Biology teacher. Unfortunately it also happens to be his coach. He is a good teacher, but Ethan and him don't make the best team in the classroom. Maybe being on the soccer team will help both to understand each other better.
