Day 3 was so exciting! I finally understood why Val wanted to go to MSU. The town was perfect, the college accessible, the people friendly, the environment perfect for excavations, retired professors such as Jack Horner (just found t-Rex heads while on a excavation), Museum of the Rockies, availability to declare Eath Science as her major and take all courses within that major for her pre med requirements! We took a tour of the campus, a residence hall tour, admissions orientation and spoke to a professor in Earth Sciences. It was so informative but not overwhelming. They will accept her AP courses so she will have potentially 24 credits start out her first year. I am sooooo proud of her for continuing on the path since birth. All her roads have led her here. Can't wait for her journey to begin! After touring campus we went to the Mueum of the Rockies and looked at their Pompeii exhibit and the Dinosaur Jack Horner Exhibit. It was awesome. Can't wait to go back next year. We out of there around 430p and went as far as we could to the little town of St Regis. We got a cheap hotel room, slept and then day 4 we toured WSU. We weren't as interested, or she wasn't, so we spent time only catching the highlights of WSU. We geocached a lot this day too. We got back into town around 830 and headed to our own beds that night. Goliath wasn't at home when we got there so we didn't sleep too well because we were worried about him. I checked the door three times that night;(

Prescription for Peace and Popsicles

Monday, when we got back from our anniversary trip, found a note on the counter that read: Suzanne called. Play group. Tuesday at 830am. Who would schedule a playgroup so early? Doesn't anyone sleep in? Let the kids find their own breakfast, and stay under the covers till they beg for lunch? Well, you know heat here in the summers, ranging around the 100's, makes us southerners wake up early in the a.m. to do the things we enjoy. When noon rolls around, we hull up in our homes, doors tightly shut, curtains drawn, trying to escape the BIG BAD (the sun appropriately named, right Spike?)! I guess that was not in the cards for us today! We spent the early morning hours playing at the park with pretty much everyone from Journey! Unfortunately around 10 a.m. the heat found us and forced us to retreat to Suzanne's house for some relief! My latest obsessions….puzzling The week after Coyote made a surprise visit! It’s been awhile since I posted! I was just looking back on some posts and giggled so I think it is important to continue since posts tell the story of my life. These pictures were from our latest venture to Paso Robles to see Coyote! Mark, I, and Charlie drove to Paso Robles California in approximately 18 hours. We stayed three glorious days and drove home within the sametime frame. While we were there, we got to see Hearst Castle, visited San Luis Obispo, saw the ocean and tons of beached Sea creatures, ate amazing food, drank amazing coffee, visited a couple of thrift stores, art galleries, and was surprised to find a outdoor vending machine full of specialty meats and cheeses. We purchased a cheese that was literally black all the way through. It was so good and tasty. It had a wonderful lemon taste to it and was very mild. Our Airbnb was located on a Vineyard.
